The Skellig foundation was delighted to announce the winners of the recent Leonardo Da Vinci Inspired Climate “Solutions” Competition for Young People 2022-2023: Creativity for Planetary Sustainability at the Prieuré on the grounds of Leonardo da Vinci’s Clos Lucé in Amboise on the 5th of May 2023.
Prizes fell into three categories 1) Science and Technology 2) Arts and Culture and 3) “Bridge Solution”- spanning Technology, Society Art and Culture.
The Science and Technology prize was awarded to the team composed of Mr. Srivastava, Ms. Middleton, Mr. Giliu and Mr. Peychev for their exciting and innovative project: “Carbon Tags – Let the Most Eco-Friendly Choice be the Easiest Choice to Make.”
The Arts and Culture prize was divided between two winners, Ms. Ally Zlatar for her project entitled “Art to Foster Sustainable Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry” and Mr. Peter Wells forhis project entitled “A Constellation of Artists Generating Future Ecologies”.
Finally, the “Bridging Solution” prize was awarded to the team of Ms. Heras, Ms. Popovic, Ms. Loopesko, and Ms. Yadav, for their original and innovative project : “Historic Buildings & Carbon Offsets”.
The event was transmitted via ZOOM to the winning entrants who gave acceptance speeches during the 1 hour ceremony. A recording will be available on the event website at a later date.
